Industrial B2B · AI-Search Visibility

ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews answer“which vendor should we evaluate”before your buyer opens a search tab.

If your name isn’t on the source pages the models cite, you aren’t in the shortlist. Thezeuz is a hands-on practice that plants industrial-B2B vendors on the third-party trade publications, directories, and expert interviews the engines already read.

The three surfaces, named

Three behaviorally distinct surfaces. The work is tuned for each.

They do not trade off. A buyer who starts in ChatGPT lands in Perplexity to confirm and on Google AI Overviews to validate. The seals are planted on each surface at once.

  • 01

    ChatGPT

When the buyer asks "which vendor should we evaluate", ChatGPT returns a synthesized shortlist — and the vendor names in that shortlist come from third-party editorial the model has read, not from the vendor’s own site.

Citations here are inline and rarely link back. The source page still does the work of earning the mention.

  • 02

    Perplexity

Perplexity treats each vendor pick as a footnote linked to the source page it was lifted from. The source page, not the vendor’s own landing, is what the buyer clicks.

A trade-pub feature or directory entry that the buyer can verify is what shifts the footnote onto your line.

  • 03

    Google AI Overviews

Above the SERP, Google summarizes the comparison and names a small set of vendors. The named vendors are drawn from the same third-party authoritative sources the rest of organic search already leans on.

The block-snippet trade — fewer raw clicks, but the mention captures the buyer whose query would otherwise have skipped past you.

A 30-minute call agrees the buyer and the surfaces worth showing up on. The pre-method preview, below.

  1. 01

    Intake

A 30-minute call. We agree on the buyer, the worthwhile surfaces, and the trade publications worth being in.

  2. 02

    Citation inventory

We map the queries the buyer runs, and the third-party pages the engines currently lean on to answer them.

  3. 03

    Editorial placements

Trade publications, expert interviews, syndicated technical content, directories, and referenceable case studies — earned, not bought.

  4. 04

    Re-citation

We re-read the engines, watch the placements that took, and replant where a citation missed. Reporting monthly.

For industrial B2B

The opening your buyer is already in.

Industrial B2B buyers — distributors, contract manufacturers, testing labs, MRO suppliers — run pre-shortlist questions in ChatGPT and Perplexity before they ever load a vendor site. The third-party pages the engines cite are trade-pub editorial, bylined expert interviews, and referenceable case studies. Those pages are the only ones that move a citation.

The opening

“Show me the two or three industrial suppliers we’d want to shortlist for [process].”

Engines handle that prompt by synthesizing a vendor list from third-party authoritative sources — pitch-pub features, directory entries, expert interviews. They do not lean on the vendor’s own landing, and they do not prompt-bid the prior SaaS dashboards the buyer already owns.

One intake. One reply. One call.
